Pet.ai (“Pet.ai”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a mobile application and this website (together, the “Service”) that help you understand and extend your pet’s healthy lifespan through AI photo scans, activity and nutrition tracking, and science-backed habits. This Privacy Policy applies to information we handle when you use the Service.
By using Pet.ai, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Information you provide
- Pet profile details — such as your pet’s name, species, breed, sex, age, weight, body condition, and health inputs you enter (for example existing conditions, diet, or medications).
- Photos you submit for AI scans, including body, weight, and issue analysis.
- Account information — such as your email address and the sign-in identifiers provided when you sign in with Apple or Google.
- Activity and habit logs — the walks, meals, goals, streaks, and habits you record in the app.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — features used, screens viewed, and actions taken, so we can understand and improve the Service.
- Device and technical data — such as device type, operating system version, app version, and general diagnostic information.
- Subscription status — whether you are on a free trial or an active paid plan. Payment card details are handled by the app store and are never collected by us.
How we use information
- Generate life expectancy predictions and personalized habit recommendations for your pet.
- Analyze the photos you submit to estimate breed, weight, and body condition, and to flag potential issues.
- Sync your data across your devices and keep your account and subscription up to date.
- Measure feature usage and diagnose problems so we can improve accuracy, performance, and reliability.
- Communicate with you about the Service, including support requests and important notices.
- Protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security threats, and comply with legal obligations.
Photos & AI processing
When you run a photo scan, the image and the relevant details from your pet’s profile are sent securely to our AI provider to produce the analysis you see in the app. Requests are routed through our own secure backend, and the API keys used to call the AI provider are held as server-side secrets — they are never embedded in the app.
The AI analysis is generated automatically and is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not a medical diagnosis and is not a substitute for professional veterinary care.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the limited circumstances below:
- With service providers who process data on our behalf to operate the Service (see below), under agreements that require them to protect your information.
- For legal reasons — where required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or enforceable governmental requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
- In a business transfer — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run Pet.ai:
- Cloud backend, database & authentication — to host your account, store your data, and keep it in sync across devices.
- AI processing — to analyze scan photos and generate lifespan and health estimates.
- Product analytics — to understand how features are used so we can improve the app.
- Subscription management & the app store — to present plans, process payments, and validate your subscription.
These providers may process information outside your country and are permitted to use it only to provide services to us.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your account and associated personal information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Request a copy of your information in a portable format.

Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly if an issue arises.
Children’s privacy
Pet.ai is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
International transfers
Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than the one in which you live. Where we transfer information internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
