Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Pet.ai app and website. Please read them carefully — they include important information about subscriptions and the limits of the guidance we provide.

Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and Pet.ai (“Pet.ai”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and govern your use of the Pet.ai mobile application and this website (together, the “Service”). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Pet.ai helps you understand and extend your pet’s healthy lifespan. It uses AI photo scans, activity and nutrition tracking, and science-backed habits to generate life expectancy estimates and personalized recommendations. All estimates and recommendations are generated automatically and are provided for general informational purposes only.

Not veterinary advice

Pet.ai does not provide veterinary or medical advice. The predictions, scores, scan results, and recommendations in the Service are estimates and general guidance only. They are not a diagnosis and are not a substitute for professional veterinary care.

Always consult a licensed veterinarian for any questions about your pet’s health, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read or saw in the Service. If you believe your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, contact a veterinarian immediately.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using Pet.ai, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Your account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any credentials used to access it.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including your pet’s details.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.

Subscriptions & billing

  • Pet.ai offers auto-renewing paid subscriptions, which may include a free trial.
  • Subscriptions are sold through the app store and payment is charged to your app store account.
  • Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, your subscription automatically renews and your account is charged for the next period.
  • If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel before it ends, it will convert into a paid subscription.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your app store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
  • Except where required by law or the app store’s policies, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not refunded. Refund requests are handled by the app store.
  • Prices and available plans may change; we will not apply changes to your current paid period retroactively.

Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Upload content that infringes the rights of others or that you do not have the right to submit.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Service, its security, or its infrastructure.
  • Access the Service using automated means, or scrape or harvest data, except as expressly permitted.
  • Misuse the AI features, including submitting content designed to produce harmful, misleading, or abusive output.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

Your content

You retain ownership of the photos, pet details, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — for example, to run photo scans, generate estimates, and sync your data across devices. You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to submit it.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and logos, is owned by Pet.ai and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (such as our cloud backend, AI processing, analytics, and the app store) and may link to third-party content. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any estimate, score, or recommendation is accurate, complete, or reliable. You use the Service at your own discretion and risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pet.ai and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will survive.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
